The Youth

Youth is not entirely a time of life- it is a state of mind. It is not wholly a matter of ripe cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It is a temper of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions, a freshness of the deep springs of life. It means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of an appetite for adventure over love of case.
Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years may wrinkles the soul. Worry, doubt , self-distrust, fear and despair these are the long, long years that how the head and turn the growing spirit back to dust.
Whatever your years, there is in every beings heart the love of wonder, the undaunted challenge of events the unfailing child like appetite for what's next, and the joy and game of life. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as yourself - confidence, as old as you, fear; as young as your hope, as old as your despair. In the central place of every heart there is a recording chamber; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope , cheer and courage, so long are you young.
When the wires are all down and your heart is covered with the snows of pessimism and the ice of cynicism , then, and then only are you grown old.
Youth is the virgin morning, the bedtime of life;it's the fresh immaculate clouds, the dazzling expanding sun, the cool silvery moon upon which a child's slight in focused with woman and fascination.
Youth is the first dance you have had, the first stealthy date, the nervous kiss. It's passion burning like fire. It's holding hands in semi-private room and talking with your eyes because mere words have miserable failed. It's tossing in bed, numbering stolen scenes and sleepless night. It's the first reluctant parting between young lovers. It's possessiveness and jealousy and petty quarrels.

An Environmental Crisis

source:www.google.com

Several years ago, a freak flood inundated Ormoc City in Leyte. There was little time to flee many of the coastal city's residents were still asleep. When the flood subsided more than 4000 people lay dead. The flooding was eventually traveled to the city's denuded watersheds, but no illegal logger was ever made to account for these deaths. And the tragedy did not stop illegal loggers and their codlers from further reducing the country's depleted forest cover.
For years environmental groups have been raising an alarm on the country's rapidly dwindling forest cover. Illegal logging, slash-and-burn farming and development have destroyed much of the country's forest. The signs of destruction are hard to miss: scorched earth, balding hills, heavily silted bodies of water that overflow in the briefest downpour. The destruction of natural habitats has also led to the extinction of certain species with a number of others on the endangered list.
With the latest disaster, there will be some noise
about intensifying the campaign against illegal loggers. But a death toll of 18 may be too low to discourage these who make a living out of destroying vital watersheds. Illegal loggers in lucrative, few people get caught, and no one is prosecuted for the deadly floods that result from heavily logged hillsides. This is an environmental crisis that calls of immediate government attention.

I've Learned About Islam, Ramadan and Hajj.....

When I search in Google about Islamic Religion I learned that Ramandan began with Prophet Muhammad the founder of Islam who was born in 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca. Orphaned at a young age, Muhammad was reared by his uncle Abu Talib. The boy grew up to be a merchant, as well as a shepherd. He was first married by age 25.

Ramadan
is the month of obligatory daily fasting in Islam it is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar. Daily fasts begin at dawn and end with sunset. They perform Special nightly prayers called, Taraweeh prayers. The entire Quran is recited in these prayers in Mosques all around the world. This month provides an opportunity for Muslims to get closer to God. The muslim should try to see not what displeases Allah, speak no evil, hear no evil, do no evil, and Look to Allah with fear and hope. Most of the Muslim do this every year it is because for them it is the only way to asking forgiveness to allah for the sins or mistakes they made. Muslims must perform these 5 duties The Shahada, Salat, Zakat, Siyam and Hajj it is because these are the Five Pillars of Faith in Islam .

The Hajj or pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is made obligatory in the 9th year of Hijra. It is also an act of worship just like Salat(five daily prayers) and Sawm (fasting in the month of Ramadan). They are 3 types of Hajj, the Hajj Mufrad, Hajj
Tamattu, Hajj Qiran.

Therefore Islam is the predominant religion in the Middle East,North Africa and large part of Asia.
